The LI.G.H.T Institute:

Understanding Your Capacity

What Is Shaping The Room Available In Your System Today?

Capacity is not a fixed trait or a measure of personal strength. It changes with sleep, health, grief, caregiving, uncertainty, discrimination, cumulative stress, available resources, and the support surrounding us. A demand that once felt manageable may require far more of the nervous system under different conditions.

The Living Capacity Field offers a visual way to explore these relationships. As you move through the experience, you will identify a demand drawing on your capacity, consider the context shaping its impact, and notice how matched support might replenish energy, redistribute responsibility, reduce pressure, or strengthen protective boundaries.

There is no ideal result to reach. This is an invitation to replace self-judgment with curiosity and ask a more contextual question: What is influencing the room available in my system today?

This educational reflection is not a diagnostic instrument or an objective measure of nervous system capacity.
